This is where Louis Garneau"s Electra Women"s Jacket jumps into action, as its versatile design keeps your upper body protected and shielded from the elements. So, you"ll remain comfortable and focused on the road ahead. The Electra jacket was constructed using several of Garneau"s technically advanced fabrics. For the outer-layer, Garneau applied its Diamond Air material, as this fabric is exceptionally lightweight, breathable, and wind-breaking. Beneath this layer is a Mesh Airdry lining, which is a thin, semi-perforated fabric that works to pull moisture away from your additional layers underneath the jacket. The back of the Electra received panels of Garneau"s Micromesh to further its overall breathability and to prevent overheating. Additionally, the jacket was built with detachable sleeves, so that you can easily convert it into a vest. Garneau built the jacket with its women"s-specific ProFit, which closely follows the contours of your body while in the cycling position and accounts for additional layers worn underneath. Elastic at the wrists and an elasticized drawstring at the waist secure this fit. For the details of the Electra, Garneau added its front two-way zipper for maximum top and bottom ventilation. This zipper was built with an inner-flap in order to reduce drafts, as well as a zipper garage that prevents neck irritation. Two zippered pockets -- one chest and one rear -- seal your valuables from the elements, with an additional multimedia pocket allowing you to channel your headphone wires through the inside of the jacket. Garneau also had a hunch that you would be riding in low-light conditions, which is why it added reflective piping at the front and rear. Garneau also added a mini-light tab that allows you to easily attach a small light to the exterior of the shell.
